- The fund invests in a broad universe of technology companies. It looks beyond the established mega caps, tapping directly into emerging technologies that have potential to significantly outperform the global market.
- Stocks are selected on the basis of the team’s bottom-up fundamental analysis. The fund is generally label-agnostic, and its stock-selection process cuts across traditional growth and value sectors.
- The fund typically holds 100 – 150 positions and invests across the capitalisation curve, though it believes there are many companies with smaller market caps that offer exposure to developing technologies. It is also more growth oriented, and has at least 70% of its portfolio in the Technology sector.
- The largest exposure within the fund are the Semiconductor (29.6%) and Software (24.8%) sub-sectors (as of 30 April 2023). Currently, these two sub-sectors appear attractive as they serve as a foundation upon which all other technology is built.
- Looking forward, the fund manager is optimistic on long-term secular themes such as Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Cloud Computing, Electric Vehicles, and Solar Energy.
