What are insurance commissions?
When you pay premiums for your insurance policy, a portion of it is given as commissions to the agent and the company that the agent works for. In this article, we will refer to this as the total commission given.

What do we mean by commission rebates?
Commission rebates can mean different things on different platforms. This is because the total commission given can be broken down into three main categories:
- Agent's fee (also known as the amount an agent will receive after splitting the total commission given with the company)
- Overriding commission (the amount payable to the company)
- Admin fee (also known as service fees, these are the additional fees charged to handle rebates)

While platforms may advertise to have commission rebates, do note that these commission rebates are not all the same. Instead, take a closer look at the details to see which portion the commission rebates are actually for. This is because some platforms will only give commission rebate on the agent’s fee.
How does it work at FSMOne?
At FSMOne, we will rebate a percentage of the total commissions that we receive from the insurer. For avoidance of doubt, total commissions refers to the agent and overriding commissions that insurers pay out upon the successful inception of an insurance policy.

We value transparency and we want clients to know what they are paying for. This is why we offer commission rebates based of the total commission that we receive from the insurer. We also do not charge any service fees for insurance.
