What’s New on FSMOne.com (Apr 2022) – eGIRO Now Available!

1. eGIRO – No More Paper Forms and Enjoy Immediate Approval!

With the launch of eGIRO by The Association of Banks (ABS), FSMOne.com has tapped on this new service and integrated it onto our platform to help investors easily set up their GIRO connection to their bank account.

Previously, in order to set up GIRO deductions, investors will have to first apply online on FSMOne.com, print out the hardcopy GIRO form before signing with wet-ink, and sending in the application form via snail mail or submit it personally to the Company. The paper forms will then be processed by both the bank and the Company, and a few weeks more will be taken before the GIRO application can be approved for the actual automatic deduction to take place.  

On the contrary, eGIRO will be a faster and paperless way for investors on FSMOne.com to start setting up automatic deductions for their regular investments and/or cash management solutions!

To set up eGIRO, simply follow these steps:

1.       Login to your FSMOne Account

2.       Proceed to CASH SOLUTIONS > New eGIRO Arrangement


3.       Alternatively, on the Regular Savings Plan (RSP)  page, you can scroll down to the “New eGIRO Application” section and click on the green button “Apply EGIRO Now”:


4.       Key in your Bank Account Holder Name and select your bank

·         Bank of China Limited

·         DBS Bank Ltd

·         HSBC Bank (Singapore) Ltd

·         Industrial & Commercial Bank Of China

·         Maybank Singapore Limited

·         Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Ltd (for Personal Account only)

·         Standard Chartered Bank, (Singapore) Limited

·         United Overseas Bank Ltd


5.       Click OK to confirm proceeding with your eGIRO application

6.       You will be redirected to your bank’s Online Banking page for you to login to your internet banking account

7.       On your “Set up eGIRO” page in your bank’s Internet Banking page, key in details such as “Nickname for arrangement”, “Payment limit (optional)” and “Expiry date (optional)”, before reviewing your eGIRO details and SUBMIT [Note: The fields/details may differ from bank to bank]

8.       You will then be automatically logged out of your Internet Banking account and re-directed back to your FSMOne Account where you may check the status of your application

9.       You will also receive an email informing you of the eGIRO arrangement that you have newly set up

10.       To add in additional eGIRO instructions, click on “Add eGIRO” button; to terminate any existing eGIRO accounts, click on the “Terminate” button 


Note:

1.       Only eGIRO applied with the following eight participating banks will receive instant approval:
- Bank of China Limited, DBS Bank Ltd, HSBC Bank (Singapore) Ltd, Industrial & Commercial Bank Of China, Maybank Singapore Limited, Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Ltd (for Personal Account only), Standard Chartered Bank, (Singapore) Limited, United Overseas Bank Ltd

2.       New application, amendment or termination instructions received between the 13th to 26th every month will take effect immediately, whereas instructions received between the 27th to 12th will take effect in the following month.


What Can I Do After Linking Up eGIRO?

1.       Apply for Unit Trust RSP – After selecting a unit trust and checking the “Apply for a Regular Savings Plan (RSP)” box, in the “RSP Payment By” field, you can select the desired eGIRO-linked bank account to directly deduct your RSP monies from:


2.       Apply for Recurring Cash Top-Up Plan to directly deduct the monies from your eGIRO-linked bank account and credit them into either your Auto-Sweep account or to your Cash Account:



Note:

1.       RSP of Cash Solutions: Instructions received for new applications, amendments or terminations before the 8th every month will be processed and take effect immediately, whereas instructions received after the 8th will take effect in the following month.

2.       The monthly deduction for ALL RSP/ CAT plans will take place 3 business days before the 8th of each month.

3.       RSP/ CAT plan will be terminated automatically after 3 consecutive failed deductions. An email will be sent to notify the investor of the voided RSP/ CAT plan.

4.       For change of frequency request, the cycle of new frequency will be based on the First Top-up Date of CAT plan.



2. Accredited Investors Status Review & Reminder Emails

Accredited Investors (AI) are able to enjoy several dedicated services on FSMOne.com, including enhanced product offerings such as selected private placement for stocks and bonds, invitations to exclusive events, as well as access to our suite of bite-size wholesale bonds on Bonds Express.

In order for us to continue sending our AIs information on AI-exclusive product offerings and updates, existing AIs will have to review and renew their AI status every two years for us to be able to ascertain their AI status. Existing AI can re-declare their AI status any time prior to the “Valid Till” date shown:


To ensure that AIs will continue to enjoy all AI-related benefits and privileges without any disruption, FSMOne.com will now be sending emails before the “Valid Till” dates to remind our AIs to review their status and to send in the necessary supporting documents to renew their AI status. AI customers can simply follow the steps in the email and complete the online declaration process to continue enjoying AI-exclusive privileges!
