FAQ

The Cash Account is a multi-currency online cash management service (12 currencies available), with funds held in trust with licensed banks. Interest is paid quarterly based on prevailing rates. To use it for investments, you must ensure the required currency is available in your account. Foreign currency exchange must be done before placing your order.

The Auto-Sweep Account is a combination of cash and money market funds offered by FSM that invests idle balances into a diversified mix of cash and money market funds. It offers potentially higher returns with daily liquidity and is currently available in 3 currencies. Unlike the Cash Account, foreign exchange is handled after the order, so you can use any Auto-Sweep Account to settle trades in different currencies without any conversion in advance.

For FSM Multi-Currency Cash Account, the money is deposited in one of the approved banks in Singapore for safekeeping.

For FSM Auto-Sweep Account, it is a discretionary portfolio managed by FSM. This portfolio aims to produce return higher than Cash Account while maintaining a high degree of liquidity and capital preservation. The discretionary portfolio is diversified across cash, money market funds, and short duration bond funds.

As a general policy, FSMOne does not accept third-party payments or withdrawals.

Payments:
Exceptions may be considered if the bank account belongs to someone with a direct relationship to the FSMOne account holder (e.g., spouse, parent, or child). Such payments will only be processed upon verification of the relationship. If flagged as third-party, you will receive an email notification. Please reply with the necessary supporting documents (e.g., birth certificate, marriage certificate).

Withdrawals:
Withdrawals can only be made to bank accounts held in the name of the FSMOne account holder. Withdrawals to joint bank accounts are also permitted, provided the FSMOne account holder is one of the named bank account holders.

Note:
Payments from joint bank accounts may sometimes be flagged as third-party since banks typically display only one account holder’s name. If this happens, please provide a recent bank account statement (dated within 3 months) showing joint ownership.
All supporting documents must be sent to clienthelp@fundsupermart.com for processing.

After opting in, any cash you receive from your investments (in SGD/USD/CNH) will be automatically moved into your Auto-Sweep Account to potentially earn higher returns.
This includes:
  • Dividends
  • Bond coupons/maturities
  • Sell/redemption proceeds from unit trusts, bonds, stocks, ETFs
  • Cash Account quarterly interest (from 1 June 2025)
What is NOT included:
  • Money you deposit manually
  • Proceeds or dividends in non-SGD/USD/CNH currency
Stock/ETF proceeds in SGD/USD/CNH will be swept automatically. Non-SGD/USD/CNH amounts will be returned to the respective currency cash account.

To view the profit and loss of your Auto-Sweep Account, go to My Account > Cash Solutions and click on "View P/L".

For dividends, coupons and bond maturity proceeds
FSM will consolidate all the above on a daily basis and automatically invest them into SGD/USD/CNH Auto-Sweep Account ONE business day after you receive them.

Note: A consolidated amount of more than SGD 10/USD10/CNH 50 in a single day will be invested into the Auto-Sweep Account. (eg. If you receive SGD 6 from Fund A, SGD 3 from Fund B and SGD 3 from Fund C, we will sweep the consolidated amount of SGD 12)

For sell/redemption proceeds (Fund and Bonds)
When selling your funds and bonds, you can select SGD/USD/CNH Auto-Sweep Account as your redemption option at the point of placing the redemption order.

For sell/redemption proceeds (Stocks and ETF)
Sell/redemption proceeds in SGD/USD/CNH will be automatically invested into Auto-Sweep Account.
For Non-SGD/USD/CNH sell/redemption proceeds, it will be credited back to the respective currency cash account.

The net interest rate indicated on the website is an annual rate, and it is subjected to change. This is because FSM obtains daily rates from the bank which accrues and changes according to SIBID interest rate movements.

For example, the net interest rate for that day is 0.4%. The actual net interest accrued for that day is (0.4/365)% or 0.0011%.
