If India is the next destination after China, do you really see action on the ground?

We keep reading about India... However, is there real action on the ground?

Is the government implementing the plans?

Is infrastructure actually developing?

Thanks.

I think PM singh is an economist by education. When the BJP won the election it was different from previous years because this time they are not tied down by alliance with the communist party. That is why we see the surge of more than 10% increase in the mumbai index in one day immediately after the result of the election was announced. They have enough seats to give them power to push forward the liberation of India. His previous year as PM has been good. Now without the restriciton of the alliance his implementation can surge forward. Well they intend to build 20km of road per day. They have to build 37,000km of road. Ok the road is very messy now. But I think it will be implemented. Other infrastructure like electricty, telecommunication is also in its infant stage. But just imagine what will happen if they seriously look into the infrasture. I think India
with the present government is going to do well.

I think this question is best answered by yourself. After all, you are residing in India, seeing and experiencing it in every way and every day. What did you see there?

Me, as an outsider, will think that India is a rising power with large consumer base, solid fundamentals in information technology and large public spending. I might have probably been brainwashed by the everyday news about mighty India (and BRIC as a whole).

But who knows. That brainwashing might actually help propel India higher than without one.

Hey guys, are u in for India already? India seems to have been on its bullish run ever since Modi became the Prime Minister (iirc). It has minor correction last year at Sept, it has now been recovering since Jan 2017 and on its run up again now.. Preferably, if you were to choose between China and India, possibly India is a better choose. Because Trump is ready to use it to balance up China in his political game play. Watch out folks...
