Risk Appetite: Moderately Aggressive

I started investing in UT in 2000. At that time I knew nothing about UT and bought into communication fund, tech fund based on recommendation from financial advisors. The result was disastrous.

Over the years I gained a bit of knowledge and now I buy UT only on-line. Some of the UT which I bought through banks are still there, and over longer period actually reap good profits.

Objective of investment is to achieve 6~8% return annually, so that I can be financially independent from my job when I reach 50. I used to divide my investment portfolio into Cash portfolio, CPF-OA porfolio and SRS portfolio. Part of it was posted somewhere b4. But now I take a different approach. This one is the total UT portfolio, incl. cash, CPF-OA and SRS investment.

This is quite messy because I have too many funds on hand. So if you would like to suggest some to cut down, the suggestion is welcome. Because I don't know which to cut....

sanye's Investment Philosophy
1. Diversify,
2. Target gain 6~8% annually
3. Go for DCA method

1/2/2010: Switch Infinity Global Index fund to First State Dividend Advantage.

13/4/2010: Sold HSBC BRIC and Lion Capital Target Return Fund. I plan now to switch all my funds bought with SRS out of FSM, to avoid paying the platform fee. For funds bought with cash, I will sell them off.

Thank you FSM, for giving me this opportunity to consolidate and re-shuffer my UT investment.

22/6/2010 Sold the bond fund. This was bought with CPFIS. After 3 long years it yielded only 3.8% return, lower than CPF interest. Sold!

26/7/2010 Completed selling all funds bought with cash. Only funds bought with CPF-Oa and SRS are left. next step is to consider to sell or switching all funds using SRS out of FSM.

20/8/2010 Show Japan Growth Fund, European Fund and Emerging Europe Fund. All these funds are bought with cash or SRS and are not performing. For those cash funds, I switch them to First State Dividend Adv. Fund. Throughout the years, the two Dividend paying funds are the most consistent performers: Schroder Singapore Trust and FS Dividend Advantage.

I also start to invest into Templaten Global Bond Fund (using SRS), a global bond fund that is paying dividend regularly.

Portfolio is not really updated, as I will be doing some switching in the next month.

15/9/2010 Completed switching all funds bought with SRS out of FSM.

28/9/2010 Switching completed. Funds appear in portfolio in the other platform.

26/5/2011 Today I sold all funds held with DollarDex. Not really like their website as I found it quite messy and difficult to nevigate. So I had only small amount of funds there. Finally decided to consolidate, triggled by planned closure of Finatiq.com. After this, all unittrust are held with 3 distributors:
Cash - Standchard
SRS - Poems
CPFOA - Fundsupermart.

15/12/2011 Bought FTIF Templeton Glb Total Ret A(mdis) SGH-H1 and Schroder Asian Income Fund.

17.1.2012 Got rid of Shenton AP Fund and Infinity Europe Index fund. Switch to Aberdeen Indonesian Equity and First State Div Adv respectively.

24.7.2013 Today I sold my UT's under CPF-OA. Reason? I am reaching 55 so I can cash out my CPF for other investment opportunities.
